past lvl 20
20's the highest lvl but does anyone know when they are going to make u be able to go past lvl 20. because i like how u get better by strategies but it would be nice to ascend past lvl 20. and i heard next expansion but does that mean the next chapter or in Upcoming Updates?

No...it would not be "gay" if the cap always stays at lvl 20. As a matter of fact it would be quite "hip" or "clutch" or "sweee" or however you say it.
Who wants to grind away? There is always sandpaper and your face for those of you who like grind. |

I hate level grind.... always have. I vastly prefer to kind a set of skills that works in any situation and stick with it. That's a lot more fun to me than spending thousands of hours tooling away for no better reason than to get my level higher. I want gameplay, not tedium.

if they raise the level cap to 30 there will still be complainers..... I'm happy Arena Net doesn't give in; I'd hate to see level 100s owning level 50s in pvp... exactly the thing i wanted to get away from.

Thing is that the way the game is designed, adding more levels would unbalance things pretty badly.
They'd have to rework all the attributes and skills so that they wouldn't be abusive in higher levels. |

They are adding more skills and classes as the game progresses though...

i dont think we will see the lvl cap go up in the near future. but as with some mmo's the lvl caps tend to raise one way or another. Im not saying it definitely will but there is a small chance. Like i said it wouldnt happen any time soon but, maybe in 2-3 years or longer we MAY see an increase of ten or so lvls. Just to increase competitiveness and allow you to experiment with more attribute points. As for right now there is no need for a lvl increase and there might never be a need but, there is a possibility it could raise at some point in the distant future. One problem with raising the lvl cap is the game design. it would have to change a great deal to raise it.

Heh heh changing the level cap won't change anything but the length of the grind. GW is nice in that the lvl grind is pretty quick.

Level 20 cap is great! I hope they never change it. Its so stupid in other games seeing level 100's in PvP killiing everyone by themselves just because they played it longer than everyone else!

Raising the Lvl Cap: No thank you.
More quests to add some attribute points? Maybe..would be nice to max out some skills with points left over to make some secondayr skills more worth while, but not sure how it would work for balancing. |

At first I was skeptical on the level cap, but I am more than happy with it. It makes you think tactical and work as a team, rather than being overwhelmingly powerful and just mow enemies over.
